Sometimes the cold forces you to create and pair in ways you otherwise would not think to do. I rolled out of bed to attend morning shows, but literally it was so freezing outside, that all I wanted to wear was leather leggings, and a sweatshirt. As "cute" as my funeral ninja garb was, I thought it needed a bit of spunk. This vintage Fendi tulle skirt gave the outfit a lil pazazzzzzz, as I fared the freezing, walking backwards down 15th to Milk Studios.

How Could Anyone Say No to This ?
It’s almost surreal how quickly the holiDAZE go from Thanksgiving to Christmas, from stuffing our faces to now needing to scramble and find gifts for everyone you like, and some people you don’t’. Over this last holiday weekend, I was watching Saturday Night Live, and Chris Rock made it all very clear. It is a bit, well, selfish, making Jesus’s birthday a gift giving occasion for us commoners, for those of us who are not Jesus, so, EVERYONE. For all of you who know me, and for those of you who don’t, I am spiritual, not religious, (queue snickering or general bullshit- o- meter), but seriously churches scare me, and I don’t like cults. I like to think of myself as a powerful being full of energy and light, and I pray about that sometimes, (either that or its exact bumper sticker we had on the Subaru growing up, that we found at the local health food store where we went to buy granola and other hippie essentials ;0). We have since graduated to British engineering, (thank god), but the mint green Subaru holds a special place in my soul maybe even as a messiah. So looking into this Christmas to come, let’s talk gifts.

In true holiday fashion, there can be no lack of obstacles on the way to you're final place of celebration. So this year, I'm sporting my fav Acne POP jeans, and a fever of 101. I will not let my current health situation stop me from topping my eating record of last year. I do it in waves, ya see. The first plate is eaten almost in one gulp quickly after Nana says, "blessings on the meal." From there I go take a nap, then come back for seconds while most are still scraping the lasts off their first servings. This is how Thanksgiving should be done. Tuesday A.M. Ill be the girl on the 8am Acella, wrapped in vintage black rabbit fur, sunnies on, hiding my bright red noise from the world. Here are a few of my favorite things Ill be bringing with me. There’s this extreme feeling of gratitude that washes over me on a particular New York Street as I walk the same sentimental Sunday walk I do weekly, and look forward to immensely. It’s an internal beat, a mental clarity, which comes when the city is calm and forgiving. This walk almost seems like a salutation of youth, a bizarre mixture of joy and humility, with a twenty- year- old fear of the future. This Sunday’s Sentiments are about succumbing to the youthful discomfort change brings, learning to embrace joyful moments for just what they are, and living fully present in the experiences that will one day become the coveted memories we re-tell in our elder years.
