Going on a California road trip has always been a dream of mine. I’ve lived in NYC for the past 3 years now, first in Chelsea, now in Alphabet City, but can’t seem to suppress my dreams of sunny California. I love to drift, I feel trapped staying in one place for to long. Post the coming fashion weeks in Feb, I'm planning on heading to Los Angels for a few months to dream somewhere new.

I live for a good off the shoulder look. I have a really long torso and neck, so I think having my shoulders open is a flattering way to make my body look less freakishly elongated. This top via Pixie Market is an affordable on trend way to play with bare shoulders! I don't usually gravitate towards brown, but this rich chocolatey take on the color caught my eye instantly, especially styled with a pop of pink the Miu Miu Madras bag provided the look. It's always been crazy to me how specific smells, or music, can bring you right back into a memory. When I was 15 I had my first slow dance to We Belong Together by Mariah Carey. (LOL). Obviously we did NOT belong together, but yesterday I was walking down East 2 and Bowery, the song came into my headphones, and I was transported into that moment. It was almost like a wave of nerves came over me, remembering how scared I was to take the dance floor with a boy for the first time. Growing as a kid into yourself, and making those memories, is what shapes us all, so when they come back later in life, it gives us a new opportunity to really see how far we have come emotionally.
I don't usually say things like; everyone needs this, but I think a good stripped shirt is a real must for fall. I love this turtleneck via. J.Crew. It can be dressed down with leather jacket and jeans, or up, for a dinner out under a dress. Stripes and a pop of color, is an easy way to make an outfit look thoughtful.
